Laurie Carpenter, a proud member and former president of the Tidewater Alumni Chapter, currently serves as the National President of the VSU Alumni Association. This past spring, Laurie celebrated a special milestone as her son, Myles, followed in her footsteps and graduated from Virginia State University.
